In the mid-1960’s, a separate audio/visual rental division was formed to meet the demand for support at the big hotels of the day, the El Cortez and Hotel del Coronado. As the convention business grew in San Diego, so did we. Over the years, video projection, theatrical lighting, and computer graphics were introduced to our clients with great success. When the San Diego Convention Center opened in 1989, MSI was contracted to provide comprehensive production support in addition to the usual in-house audio/visual needs. This is a partnership we have been proud to be a part of ever since. Satisfied convention center clients began to contract us for services in other cities. Our long-term clients now form the cornerstone of our business. With their continued trust and support, we have continued to grow and innovate. We are proud to be production partners with Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Major League Baseball, and the National Hockey League, and the National Football League Players Association. Even though MSI produces shows nationally, we have never forgotten our community roots. MSI is in-house at the Town and Country Hotel. The San Diego Chargers, Padres, and Make A Wish Foundation rely on us. We are committed to the local arts scene, providing support for community theater and symphony. The Rotary Club, churches, and civic organizations trust us with meetings, blood drives, parades, and parties. We help around the block as well as around the world. From humble beginnings, MSI has grown to become a major provider in the industry. Our production warehouse and office complex is a two-level structure with over 30,000 square feet. In addition, satellite storage facilities enhance our abilities. Over 100 people are happy to call MSI their employer. But through all our growth, we’ve never forgotten that it’s all about you.
