MSI Productions is committed to providing our clients with services which are Year 2000 Compliant. After thorough testing of the systems that are critical to our operation, we are confident that there will be no disruption of services to our clients due to the changing over to the year 2000 or due to that being a leap year.
All of MSI's sound waves, light photons, and video images have been tested and found to be Year 2000 Compliant. Assuming compliant audio/visual receptors in the target audience, there should be no problem with the transmission of sights and sounds into the brains of those present. When the year strikes 2000, we anticipate no problems keeping light on the stage (assuming a Y2k compliant stage), sound in the air (assuming Y2k compliant air molecules), and images on the screens (assuming Y2k compliant screen surfaces).
This statement does NOT cover any photons, sound waves, or images, which other parties have developed or modified. When used in combination with outside sources, our sounds, light, and images remain Year 2000 compliant only to the extent of the other sources are Year 2000 compliant and properly exchanged with conforming power, video, and audio cables.
Additionally, all of our preparation and transportation systems have been found to be Y2k compliant. Our warehouses will still keep the equipment warm and dry, and our trucks will still get the gear to the gig on time (assuming Y2k compliant roads).
Our accounting system, including order entry, billing, inventory control, and accounts payable is fully y2k compliant. Even if the banking system collapses, we'll still know who owes what, even if we have to barter nuts and berries for payment. In other words, we expect to have no y2k problems of an internal nature.
And
now a word from our Systems Administrator:
Re: Year 2000 Computer Processing
This letter is to inform you that we have completed all of our hardware checks and have implemented plans to upgrade any systems found to be non-compliant by midyear 1999. We have requested and received a Y2K compliance certification from the manufacturers of all software we use in our daily operations. In addition, we have scanned all of our databases for the ability to store dates and calculate dates after December 31, 1999, and found them to be in compliance. We expect no significant impact on our ability to deliver the services we provide to our customers due to the Y2K problem. Should you have any further questions contact me at (619) 682-5220 Ext. 310 or email me dduncan@msiprod.com
Thank You,
Dave Duncan
